The Food
It is a great little sandwich shop in the heart of Logan. Logan’s Heroes is a restaurant that serves Sandwiches, Pizza and Gyros. It is a cash-only place, but it has a great patio that offers good looking huge sandwiches, great tasting pizza, some good gyros in a simple surround.
The owner, Hamid, will remember your name after about 2 times of eating there. All of the bread is fresh, and each sandwich is handmade to perfection. They have fresh wheat bread and white hoagie rolls with good quality of meat, cheese, and vegetables.
Issues
After reading so many good reviews I decided that I should look into it a little more to see if there were any major complaints. One thing that kept coming up was that the shop does not accept credit cards. They only accept cash or check. Below is a google review from a Local Guide in Logan.
TERRIBLE AND RIDICULOUS! Really you don’t take anything but cash or check…. What century are you in? They wanted me to walk 3 blocks to an ATM only to be charged a $3 fee for using the ATM… Get an IPAD and a swiper. Between that the and the really gross tables and walls, no sandwich can be worth that. The guy making the sandwich asked me like 15 times “WHAT KIND OF BREAD YOU WANT?” The topper was the girl that worked there just outside the door smoking as she cleaned the tables, trying to convince me it’s totally worth it as she blew smoke at me. No thank you. It’s just a sandwich.

So, while there have been bad reviews I have also noticed that the majority of the review are possible. Yes, they only accept cash and it is not the cleanest place, but it does offer some of the best sandwiches in the valley. When I found this place, I was very grateful. There is a place similar to this in South Salt Lake that I used to go to when I lived down there, and as good as other sandwich shops are these home-grown locally owned and sources food is always better.
The shop has not been updated in several years, it was a bit dreary of a dining ambiance but you can always get takeout and either eat at home or eat in one of the fine city parks in Logan or surrounding communities.
